Bert,That one report by Jan was one of the Sinclair demonstrations that was used to compile the report you quoted.
The DVB-T used was 2K, first generation as well. If you are going to assume that ATSC receivers will get more sensitive over time, you must make similar assumptions w/r/t DVB-T receivers as well.
If you think ATSC is good enough, then you are free to end posting on this list. I for one, as a broadcaster, am still not happy with ATSC for more reasons than just it's performance at Mark's Apartment. ATSC still has serious flaws and is still playing catch-up with DVB-T. Always has been, and it always will be. DVB-T is infinitely more flexible, extensible, and adaptable, whereas ATSC gets kludge after kludge that will never be adopted.
Thank you for the lecture, however. John----- Original Message ----- From: "Manfredi, Albert E" <albert.e.manfredi@xxxxxxxxxx>
John, I believe in full and honest disclosure. If you mention the Sinclair tests, then talk about the Sinclair tests. Not someone else's test.
