  It should look very good on most first generation CRT based HD 
capable monitors and direct view displays, all of which could not 
display more than 960 samples per line to any significant benefit. 
And on newer displays that have 1280 or more samples per line, it 
might still look excellent if it is not over compressed, compared to 
an encoding at full horizontal resolution that is over compressed.
