BTW, here the latest layout I came off, after Axel give his opinion 
monday:

Currently, it load BoneYard add-ons, via an empty BYAddOn class quick 
and dirty implementation I wrote.
It load the profiles name and find the current one, but that all.
Included is a profiles sample files, to put in /etc/network/profiles/*
..

No profile activation code yet, nor a network profile API to be used by 
future preflet addons nor 
future preflet addons API defined yet. 
Just a layout experiment.
