The Butler County Drug and Alcohol Program has asked Old Union to hold a
focus group meeting to help them learn about our community's awareness
about various forms of addiction in our region. This is a one-time
commitment that will last about an hour. You do not need to have any
personal or family connections to addiction, and you can be any age. Once
we have enough people who show interest, we'll try to schedule the meeting
at time that works for everyone's schedule. Feel free to pass this along
to anyone you'd like. The only requirement is that they are resident of
Butler County.
Here's the official description:
The purpose of the community conversations/focus groups is to help identify
the contributing factors that are influencing youth alcohol and
vaping/e-cig use. The outcomes of our community conversations will be used
to help plan our future, county-wide prevention programming. We hope to not
only explore the underlying, contributing causes of the problems, but ask
participants for ideas and suggestions on how we might address the problems
through prevention activities and services.
