I have checked in with Emily this morning and we have 5 respondents so far for 
the pre-survey for our topics of discussion with the Secretary of State 
operational audits division.  The timing of needing the responses today is for 
them to have time to review responses to help identify questions for them to 
ask us on Thursday.  Emily has asked that I send out a reminder email to the

Greetings all,

At our upcoming OCCCIRS meeting the Oregon Audits Division of the Secretary of 
State has requested input from our group for their performance audit of HECC.  
We will be joined by Emily Fiocco and Scott Learn from the SOS OAD.

This audit is focused on HECC's relationship with community colleges, and the 
objective is: How can HECC and Community Colleges better use student and 
financial data to drive decision-making, support students, and address 
substantial risks in college sustainability, performance, and equity?

In this audit, OAD will perform some statewide data analysis, and will also 
look at questions such as IR and HECC analyst capacity, and how HECC might 
improve the effectiveness, efficiency, and equity of data collection and use at 
the state and within institutions. All audit recommendations go to HECC - not 
to individual colleges.

In advance of the meeting, OAD asks that you fill out the survey linked below. 
It contains questions that satisfy their data reliability requirements for the 
audit, as well as questions that help provide context for the IR role, 
including what's working well, and what are some challenges you may face.

The OAD would appreciate you completing the linked survey as thoroughly as your 
time allows by Monday August 30th, end of day. There are 16 questions. OAD 
auditors will plan to ask follow up questions in the group meeting based upon 
survey response.
