Thanks Bill!
Yes, there are tons of reports and we're already using these. However, just
pulling these individually and reformatting each year into something usable -
like Tableau datasets or SQL tables - isn't the most efficient process.
I'm wondering if anyone has an agreement with ODE or their local ESD to get all
of this annually within a data-sharing agreement? When I worked in Florida, my
agency had an agreement like that and it was helpful. If anyone does, I'd like
to know what that agreement entails.
Outside of that type of agreement, does anyone have an annual process that
works well?
Thanks,
Ashley Sears

Hello Ashley,
Most of the reports you need are here:
https://www.oregon.gov/ode/reports-and-data/Pages/default.aspx
Under Students you have most of what you are looking for:

Also, the School and District Report cards tend to hold some of your data as
well.

Let me know if you need any help interpreting. I have used these reports quite
a bit.

[EXTERNAL SOURCE] Stop, Think, Verify.
Hello everyone!
We are looking to develop an organized process around gathering and managing
the K-12 data we need for grants, program evaluation, and understanding our
feeder schools.
Previous processes have generally been last-minute, frantic scrambles for grant
applications - with recent help from PCC's grant office (thank you!). Data
we're interested in includes things like: eligibility rates for free/reduced
lunch, dropout rates, graduation rates, chronic absenteeism / attendance, etc.
Does anyone have a managed process for acquiring K-12 data through ODE or their
local ESD perhaps? I'd love to know what that looks like.
Thanks!
Ashley Sears
