Tonight I walked the Salmon Creek trail from the west. I began about 7:40 pm
and about 8:10 pm I heard a barred owl on the opposite side of the green zone.
It called out once then about 8:35 pm I heard a call again could have been the
same bird? From the west you need to go past the second bench to be close to
where I first heard the owl. Also once it started to get dark I had a barn owl
flying around saw it twice. There were several bats flying around as well and
it is always cool to see them.
