Rocky Minor and I made a loop from the Millican Sage Grouse Leks east of
Bend to Hampton to Paulina and back to Prineville today. Highlights:
2 Trumpeter Swans on the Crooked River
6 Greater Sage Grouse at the Millican Lek (arrived at 7:15 and most had
left the lek)
48 Bald Eagle at Hampton
11 Ferruginous Hawks at various locations
3 Rough-legged Hawks (2 north of Glass Butte and 1 on the Crooked River)
1 Loggerhead Shrike north of Glass Butte
5 Northern Rough-legged Hawks
1 Savannah Sparrow at Paulina Marsh (first of the season)
