[obe-members] Top Things we learned today

Sent without proof reading...  TWO ATTACHEMENTS TODAY..

1. BEST INFOMERCIAL OF ALL TIME FOR THE OBE!!! Paul Marois with his best
Gordon Lightfood voice sang his way into our happy place.. Well done!! What
a great way to start the infomercials. Does this guy stay up at night
thinking these things up?

2. Jerry attempted to follow that up with a dance number that was short
lived (2 seconds)

3. We need new members. Try really hard to ask one of your business contacts
to come out and see what we are all about. Our goal is one new member a
month. Next week's pancake breakfast is the perfect opportunity to bring
someone out.

4. New Speaker Schedule attached. Note the changes.  You are on it twice so
please make sure you know what day you are on. One is for the 10 minute
presentation and the other is for a 3 minute infomercial or whatever you
want to talk about.

5. Wes thinks it was a rough morning to do infomercials after Paul's,

6. Promotions committee announced a pancake breakfast for March 16th. We
will be contacting Alumni and also will be putting ads in the paper. Please
try and bring a guest out that day. We will have a special guest speaker
that day. Did I mention this already?

7. If you are able to help the executive in anyway, please volunteer. They
need help setting up and taking down each week, this should not always fall
on the executive, everyone needs to help. The executive also needs help on
all committees. Please try and help out. We need someone to head up the
social committee!!!

8. Second 3 minute speech done by Norm Sandvik  Apple Valley Promotions,
pretty uninformative. If you need or can put a poster up for our Pancake
Breakfast next week, please let me know and I will drop one off.

9. We are here to promote and help each other so this week's feature member
will be Cheryl Grant

10. Try and remember to have cell phones off. It is distracting and not fair
to our speaker. And I will promise to try and tone down my remarks as to not
upset our co chair and someone else from the back table that was sitting
beside a lawyer!!

11. Please keep in mind your business brief when you are doing an
infomercial, you should not be advertising that you do something if it is
not covered in your business brief.

12. If you need OBE stickers or cards, please contact Jerry and he can
provide them for you that is of course if we ever see him again. Went on
holidays a couple of weeks ago and have not seen him since. Cards slots need
to be replenished.

13. Wes was right on time....  for his time....

14. John Hudson pointed out what happens (using Ray as a model) what happens
when Daddy lets Mommy brush your hair when they are angry. Yikes!

15. I love hearing from Sarah what the kids? are up to now on the internet
and what it is doing. Very cool..

16. Melissa's daughter wishes Melissa could improve on her punctuality.
Maybe Wes and Melissa have the same problem? I was going to join the
procrastinators club yesterday but decided to put it off until next week.

17. Robert said his heart rate went up 4 infomercials ahead of time. For
some reason I do not believe that..

18. Neil at the ladies table by himself, now how did that happen? that is
something that most of us just dream about.

19. Speaking of the ladies table, it was really nice to have Lorraine
Richmond out today.
