Excellent news from Gabriele yesterday evening:

Just want you to know that Frank had a good day today.

Breathing tube has been removed and he is comfortable breathing on his own. He
was all day awake and is making a lot of progress today

Frank is stable but with all his ribs broken, punctured lung, etc., etc., he’s
still in really rough shape – in the stage of keeping him sedated with
breathing/feeding tubes.

Friends,

Frank is out of an extensive surgery.

He’s in really bad shape.  Multiple fractures and internal damage.

He and his wife, Gabriele, were on a motorcycle ride.  Frank was the lead
motorcyclist, immediately followed by Gabriele.  He was going through a green
light and an on-coming fellow turned directly into his path.

It’s too early to tell the full extent of his injuries, but the immediate
damage control has been done.

No indication what distracted the left turning driver from noticing the
oncoming motorcycles.

Inattentive driving is so very, very destructive.

Mary's husband Neil had an angiogram last Thursday. they found a 90% in is
right heart artery and put in two stents.

Mary also mentioned that Frank is in a very bad motorcycle accident and is in
ICU. I will try and get more details and will let you know.

Please keep both of the gentleman in your thoughts and prayers.
