I agree that I do not think it was a golf cart either when I got down and
looked at it, it seemed like more of the machine they use for doing the sand
traps. Now unless of course someone did that on two wheels then it is possible
and might look the same!! The executive are dealing with this and will keep the
membership posted

So some great thoughts have been put out there on this issue.
I was not at the tournament so maybe you don’t want to hear what I have to say
but.... I am going to say it anyway.
We need to compensate the Golf course for what has happened. Even though it is
not all OBE members at this event it is an event that Gord and the OBE put
together hence we are responsible in my mind. If the person or persons that
are responsible don’t step up then it is us that should take the fall.
My husband looked at the picture and is pretty sure that is not from a golf
cart as is David. Just so everyone knows he has been on a golf course for over
20 years and golfs at least 3 times per week. He has seen his fair share of
damage to courses for various reasons.
The damaged cart we should know who did that ( as David said they all had our
names on them) and I personally think they should be responsible for fixing it
and the fence they hit.
Just my thoughts. Sorry if I offended anyone but this is definately NOT
Business excellence.

My thoughts,
I was very upset to see the email reporting the damage that was done to the
course , their signs and equipment. Terrible end to a great day.
I am a first year member of OBE and already feel proud to be part of this
group. We should definitely apologize and compensate for damages done by our
tournament players. The cart damage should be easy to figure out as the carts
all had business names attached to them. As far as the green damage, I do not
believe this is the result of a golf cart. The track is way too narrow for a
golf cart and most importantly there is only one when you would expect to see
two.
I would suggest that next year each golf group has an OBE member in it , we
can then monitor and accept responsibility of our actions.
On a personal business level, I was involved in talks with 2 Eagles to be their
service provider for their kitchen needs including items like the black table
cloths we dined on. Part of my presentation was proudly stating that I am an
OBE member and that we are having our Golf tournament at Two Eagles. I now find
myself hoping they forgot I told them that.
I hope the actions of a few do not spoil the reputation of our group.

Friends,
I have a couple thoughts about this…
It feels like “Excellence” requires nothing less than full accountability. I’d
like to see an immediate communication of apology and commitment to compensate
them for any damage. Internally, whoever it was should be stepping forward and
absent that, perhaps we can figure it out with a bit of investigation and the
lack of personal accountability should result in expulsion.
It also feels like it might be important not to vilify whoever caused that
damage. Sometimes good people do stupid things (my hand reaching way up high
on this one). Non-golfers, particularly, who put their money forward in
support of this event, having no expectation of enjoying the “golf” of it but
rather the comradery and fun of it, viewing golf carts more like bumper cars
and having no understanding / appreciation of how delicate the greens are,
etc., might have no idea that they were causing damage.

Hi Everyone
Please look at the picture and read the trailing message. Did anyone from the
OBE see this happen?
Thanks

Hi Norm. Please forwards to the OBE, I have to investigate this and there may
be a charge. I need to know if anyone of our members noticed people ahead of
them or behind with this type of behaviour. Gord

Howdy,
Sorry, but I need to vent!
This picture is from 6 green from the OBE tournament yesterday afternoon!
There were also several signs, and posts ran over, many skid marks from where
carts were trying to go where they have no business being. One of my $5000.00
Irrigation Satellites was smashed into(may or may not have been them), and I
see one of your carts were damaged from hitting a fence.
I'm sure it was only one or two groups, but maybe the organizers of the event
should be made aware of what was going on. Seems' very ironic that this
behaviour is from a group businesses who strive towards excellence, yet this is
how they treat another business!
Grrrr!
