**Notice of Election**
In accordance with OAUA's bylaws, four current seats are announced for election
to the Board of Directors for three-year terms. The terms of office will
commence September 6th, 2001 and will expire on September 9th, 2004.
Duties and requirements may be found in the bylaws under ARTICLE III, Board of
Directors, Section 3.1. Duties and Qualifications.

Members who are interested in running for one of these seats should submit
their name by email to the OAUA Secretary, Ken Knull,
secretary@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx no later than 12:00 PM PST August 15th, 2001.
Candidates may also submit a brief statement and/or a photo if desired. The
statement shall be no longer than 250 words, preferably as part of an email or
an attached Wordpad file or text file. No HTML please. Photos must be in jpeg
(.jpg) format.
On August 25th, 2001, an online ballot and a candidate information page
containing the candidates' names, statements, and photos will be posted on the
OAUA site. An email notice will be sent to members on that date. Voting by
online ballot will begin on August 25th, 2001 and end at 12:00 PM Pacific
daylight time on September 5th, 2001. Members of record by midnight August
24th, 2001 will be eligible to vote.
The candidates elected to fill these seats will be announced at the General
Membership Meeting to be held on September 6th, 2001.
The Board anticipates electing Officers at its regular October 4, 2001 meeting.
The Officer positions are President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and
Chief Operations Officer. Details of the duties can be found in the bylaws.
Members interested in applying for an Officer position should also contact the
Secretary.
