Slack. Using it with some customers.

I could not say any positive or negative about it.
It works as expected. You can see it its a gamers tool. I am occasionally
wresting with the sound when I switch from the earphone to the speaker.
Most of the times have have to reboot.
I think that is a Windows issue though.

Discord? Never heard about that. I guess that says a lot about my coolness
factor :-D.
I think slack could fulfill the function. But it’s not a mail list, and
therefore does not use the convenience of email what we all use probably on
a day to day basis, regardless of what we do or do not do anymore.
I am up for slack, it’s extensively used at my current job at Yugabyte. In
fact, I got the Oaktable slack still setup on my iPad.
But the whole point of the list is that we all need to use it. It’s really
obvious, but I cannot remember if this has actually been mentioned.
If you’re not using it, and do not feel the need for yet another
communication channel: please try it. There might actually be a merit to it
that the communication takes place outside of your mailbox, and thus does
not get mingled up in all the other mail for which a lot of us get a lot
probably.
If the Oaktable slack would be the only use, communication will make itself
known as a number to the slack icon (at least on apple devices). I think
that is useful.

+1 for slack! (or Discord, where all the cool kids apparently hang out
nowadays... (I wouldn't know))

Oh, regarding ongoing messaging:
- I think there is general discomfort with the public nature of freelists
- there is also discomfort with using Facebook Groups, primarily from the

A few years ago we tried Slack. Is it time to try it again? I believe we
still have the domain registered.
