Subject: [nyschp.dop] Controlled substance waste systems
[WARNING] This message came from outside of Saratoga Hospital. Please use care
when clicking links or attachments! [WARNING]
Good morning,
One of our members is asking how you are handling waste for barbiturates and
liquid pain medications that maybe classified as RCRA hazardous if you are
using controlled substance waste systems? Do you have separate bins for
hazardous and non-hazardous controlled substances or are classifying all
controlled substance waste as hazardous?
Thank you, in advance, for your response.
Sincerely
Sudha Narayanaswamy
