Dear Sexual & Reproductive Health Subcommittee members,

The CHCANYS HIV/Hep C/STD Sub-committee will hold a virtual meeting this Friday 
at noon on Applying Trauma Informed Care to Sexual Health. We encourage you to 
register and attend the call to join colleagues in this discussion. You will

  *   Kate Filmore, LCSW-Clinical Manager of Behavioral Health at the Article

Guiding Questions for Consideration

  *   How does someone's mental state impact their sexual health?
  *   How does past trauma impact an individual's sexual behavior?
  *   How does a provider elicit if an individual has PTSD and why is this 
important to know when taking a sexual history?
  *   How might trauma informed care change the way we manage patients when 
discussing & evaluating their sexual health?
  *   Is there data showing that people with PTSD and other mental health 
diagnoses are at higher risk for STDs?  For substance use and if so any drugs 
in particular?  For co-existent STDs and substance use?
