But if the service did not use email, that means use web.
Not all of us can manage web.
This has been said many times RNIB should have kept the talking news paper
System that was far more reliable.

James,
Is it perhaps worth having a chat with some friendly software engineers about
doing some extra hooking into NTNM? For example, if delivery had an extra
channel, such as Dropbox, people could simply open a folder on their computers
to read their papers. I know Dropbox isn’t anywhere nearly as widespread as
email, but it is one of the simplest systems to use post-setup. Given the
national team of volunteers which the RNIB has at its disposal to assist people
with their IT issues, surely having an extra string to your bow for the
recurring email delivery issues is a worthwhile investment of resources?
Just a thought. I personally don’t use the emailer service anymore due to a
trio of factors, its reliability being the least significant.

Subject: [ntnm] Newsagent emailer issues over the weekend
Good morning,
Please accept an apology from the Newsagent team. The emailer system stopped
working on Saturday and no emails went out from Saturday afternoon. The system
has been rebooted and emails are starting to flow through. Saturday and Monday
titles have emailed and we are watching for the Sunday titles to appear in due
course.
Our first priority was to get the system back up and running however we want to
determine the cause(s) behind this failure and determine what was easily
avoidable and what requires more scrutiny.
Let me repeat our apologies from the Newsagent team. We hope to have every
missing item out to you asap.
Kind regards, James
