1. The Tidewater Chapter, TAI will host its 27th Annual Education Assistance
Scholarship Gala on 28 August 2010, at Point Plaza Suites, City Center, 950 J.
Clyde Morris Blvd, Newport News, VA.
2. This year's theme is "Tuskegee Airmen - A Cut Above," with General William
M.
Fraser III, Commander, Air Combat Command, serving as Keynote Speaker. Proceeds
support TC-TAI's Education Assistance & Scholarship Program, where over
$100,000
has been distributed to deserving high school seniors to date. Beneficiaries
of
the aid are local military and non-military dependents, who have received funds
from the local Tuskegee Airmen Chapter as well as the National Tuskegee Airmen
Scholarship Fund, to help defray mounting college costs.
