Each year, the Detroit Science Center participates in the YES Expo, a one-day
educational event held at Ford Field. YES stands for Youth Engineering and
Science and the event attracts thousands of middle and high school students
from across the Detroit area. Students participate in hands-on activities and
visit vendors to learn about careers in engineering and science. The Science
Center is looking for enthusiastic individuals or teams to assist us with the
setup, break-down and implementation of our activities. This is a great team
effort with plenty of opportunity for fun! This year the event is Thursday,
November 8 from 8:30a.m. to 3:00p.m. Teams or individuals can sign up for all
day or for 3 hour shifts. No experience is necessary and parking is free at the
Science Center with shuttle service to Ford Field.
