Here is information on the "Spring Fling" Choir Dinner I mentioned at
last Sunday's rehearsal. This is a dinner and program that our church choir
(Westbrook-Warren Congregational Church) puts on every year to help fund
our music program. For $12, you get dinner and after-dinner entertainment
by the choir. Dinner will be chicken or fish with rice pilaf and a green
vegetable. All can be prepared gluten free. This year's music theme is The
Seasons, songs about seasons or months.
Doors will open at 6pm and food will be served at 6:30pm. Entertainment
will start around 7-7:15pm. *Reservations MUST be made in advance BY SUNDAY
APRIL 30* by emailing John Spearen at spearen.john@xxxxxxxxxxxx. Include
the number of people in your party, and each person's menu choice of
chicken or fish.
The church is located at 810 Main Street in Westbrook. It is a brick
building that doesn't look like a church, next to the Warren Memorial
Library, also brick. The parking lot is off Church Street, just west of
Spring Street. The main entrance is at the bottom level off the parking
lot. The building is handicapped accessible.
I hope that some of you will be able to come and see my wife and I
perform "Spring Can Really Hang You Up the Most", along with the rest of
the choir doing individual and group pieces. We're not professionals, but
we have fun, and sometimes we are funny too.
