Hello dear Singers,
What a storm! Visibility was just about nil. It had a wild, dangerous feel
to it, which was entertaining to watch from inside.
Glad we're meeting this *Sunday, March 19, at 5 pm*, (Womens' rehearsal
from 6:30-7) I hope you can put in some time to study the music. It's a
lotta' music, and we may have to hone down the list or have a smaller group
sing a couple of them.. A few of these are already emerging as better
choices for our concert. Those of you wishing to be considered for solos
will need to master these early, so we can focus on solo parts.
Thanks for your dedication and enthusiasm. This stage of preparation is
intense and can be grueling, but also immensely rewarding, so please dig
in! It's already beginning to sound good!

(not the fa-la-la-las!)
2.*Fire, Fire*--Morley listen to and go over your parts
3.*What if I Never Speed*? Dowland--listen and go over your parts
*The above three pieces are madrigals and I hope we can learn them by
memory and sing them parts interspersed*.
*4.Th*e Promise of Living* Copland--Be able to sing your part easily
5. *The Last Words of David*--Randall Thompson--listen and become
acquainted with the composition
6.* I Gondolieri-- *Rossini---Listen and enjoy its beauty. This piece has
many solo parts
7. & 8. women Please go over "*Hold On*" and "*Come In*"
9. Men go over "*Stopping by Woods*"
