Dear Missy and Mike,

We deeply appreciate your loving, detailed and thoughtful note as to the
reasons NLS doesn't work for you at this time. It was great you gave it a
try and were open to the possibilities.

We don't, in any way, take this decision personally, although we are all
disappointed not to have your sweet presence with us and will miss your
warm, affirming smile.

Deep gratitude for your generous offer to support the group, and please
know we understand and wish only the best for you.

Hi, Leela,

I have put this off for a few days because I am rather dreading it! You
are a very effective advocate for the singing group and we know it promises
to be a wonderful learning experience.  It would be terrific to work with
someone with as impressive a background as you have. Now that I've listed
all the reasons we would like to participate, here is why we feel it
doesn't make sense for us. I know that you have responses to each of these
concerns, but we do fee that we need to do what makes the most sense for us.

When we met at your home, and voted on a night that everyone could make
it, I had totally forgotten about our symphony subscription., although I
did vote for Thursday.  We chose Tuesday last year and this because it is
much better for us than Sunday, which is often reserved for family time
with our daughter's husband and baby. I could have come once in a while on
Sunday earlier in the day, but right before dinnertime does not work for
us. Also, Mike is on the Board and they usually meet on Tuesday night,
although they have been meeting earlier in the day recently, perhaps to
accommodate Jamie's desire to sing and his considerable contribution to the
group. His offer to help Mike is very loving, but when you don't read music
and the pieces are as challenging as they are, Mike does not feel
comfortable with this.

In addition, whatever voice I ever had is shot!  The exercises and what I
could learn would be very helpful, but the day and times don't fit our
schedule, and that is the primary reason that I need to withdraw.  As a
former instrumentalist with no experience in voice, I cannot give up the
symphony.

I have one of the notebooks that were distributed, and of course will
return it right away. I have not written a check yet, but would like to
make a substantial contribution to the group in lieu of the membership
dues, and will do that when returning the music.

Most importantly, our fondest hope is that our decision will not harm our
growing friendship! We have really enjoyed getting to know you better and
always appreciate your testimonies and spiritual inspiration and
demonstrations. The way our lifestyle has developed since moving here is
primarily what is behind this, and we wish you and Northern Lights much
success.

Love to you!
Missy and Mike

Hello Singers,

Finally a day we can actually meet! Hallelujah!
Please bring folders, pencils and  enthusiasm.

No one has informed me they will be absent, so
perhaps we will have all of us there?

See you soon.
