Hi RORY!
Thanks so very much for sending us the copy of the lovely note and very
touching artwork on the front of the card that Carol sent to RUSS regarding the
NLS concert. I agree that the excellent, receptive audience inspired us all to
sing with elevated joy, spirituality, gratitude and passion. Personally, I am
still pretty "high" from the experience and that of the following Friday night,
too, and find myself singing/whistling much of the music constantly,
accompanied by very happy memories.
RUSS: You, RORY, ANNA and LEELA (along with the cooperation and assistance of
folks from the two Churches and many terrific NLS members, etc., throughout
this whole process) spent many hours and did an incredible amount of work
during these past months initiating, organizing, soliciting, encouraging,
preparing, financing (and a myriad of other appropriate words), to bring these
concerts to fruition. I am adding my deep admiration and tremendous
appreciation to you for ALL your efforts, and my sincere thanks for all the
very delightful moments (including meeting and singing with everyone).
The gorgeous plants you generously purchased and displayed in the Church
entryway on June 11 were such a nice touch, and your gifting them to us was a
special treat. (My pink Gerber Daisy is happily planted in my garden.)
CLAUDIA: You certainly hosted a grand post-concert party; it was a very
welcome and super fun way to stifle withdrawal pains and try to transition back
to reality that evening. The piano entertainment by the two "Johns" was so
very enjoyable, too. "'Twas a wicked jolly good time." I hope you had a great
visit with your brother and family and that he did well with his ocean swim
challenge.
