Hello George
After the rotten day I’ve had it’s a bit late now but tomorrow morning will be
fine after 10
117 Carlton Hill
Go over Greenhill bridge over the railway into Sea St
Then bear right to the roundabout and take the second exit
Into Central Ave
Carlton Hill is first left
I’m right up the top on the left
You’ll see my Audi
Let me know if that’s not convenient
Cheers
Mike

George,
Very generous offer - thanks. And I know Super 60s are lovely models. But as
Mike says, the Mentors meeting wanted to use electric for training and to
start people with 4 channels on the buddy box. Think we should be OK now
with the existing club trainer + the Tony H / Mike A Wot Trainer and Keith's
when complete + Rob's Radio Queen available for trial flights.

Another grand offer from you
I will let Nick comment on behalf of the club but I think they were after a
good electric trainer
With regards to the magazines I have boxfuls of the stuff
Many years, mostly full years
Many issues rcme Model world etc
I could let you have them very cheap because I will be glad to get them out
of the way
All through the eighties and nineties
All good condition with no missing pages

Nick,
I have available, for free, an old (built 1980's) aerobatic 4 channel
trainer balsa and film ex IC converted to electric (I called it Flame)
that I used to teach my Grandson after high wing trainer. Complete with
servos and motor. Not a lot of space for large battery I'll have to check
what size will fit. Photo attached .
Also a MFA Yamamoto 3 channel control airframe ex 40 IC and would need a
modeller to add a motor or engine. Wing foam solar film covered no
ailerons but could be added (optionally reduce the dihedral). Fuselage
fuel proof but of course gum engine oil in need of cleaning off. Rudder
needs one hinge re-gluing. It would need a modeller to fit out with servos
and complete I can take photos. It is clearly not ideal. Let me know what
you think.
Hopefully you can get more suitable ready to fly. Similar model image an
article attached.
Let me know
Ian

Does any generous soul have a spare four-channel electric model doing
nothing which we could use as a club trainer?
(As part of the drive to boost membership we need to offer training to new
pilots, on a club machine with a buddy-box. We already have the Mentor
with Bryan and Rob is offering his 3-channel Radio Queen for trial
flights. Two more 4-channel machines would put us in a good position to
cope with any likely demand with a bit of slack for breakages. Keith has
one additional 4-channel machine and buddy-box set-up in preparation. Mike
A has put together a buddy-box system and the point of this appeal is that
we're looking for a model to go with this.)
Come up with a spare machine and a club logo and you win Member of the
Month (in a good way).
