Few days ago there was an urgent situation for Team Villages when they
discovered some areas of the terrain might get too soaky and wet. Illustration:
So quick adjustments to the Nordic village cluster had to be made, and I asked
from the team if moving everyting bit more south would solve the issue. They
said yes, so I asked them to reorganize the plan accordingly. The tent building
operator was soon starting to work and the team had only hours to submit the
plans for them. I think the company might have already assembled them.
I now uploaded a new version of the Nordic cluster layout in the wiki. The
rented tents (FIN1, FIN2 and SWE) are now in their final positions. The Danish
dome and Norwegian tent are in just some random spots, nevermind if they look
Magma @ SWE and me have drawn the plan for the cluster. Magma had an idea of a
boulevard that runs across the cluster area. Now that we had to relocate the
cluster a bit, the walkpath that goes through the cluster might not be that
straight because of a ditch that cuts it in west. Team villages said the
firelane (under FIN2 etc) might be removed.
I have included faint marks that show sewage and power lines: these areas could
not have been used for large tents that need to be pegged down. I don’t know if
the power lines or potentially soaky terrain set limitations for other types of
tents, so I cannot give any details.
I’ve heard that Swedish village brings a kitchen. The Finnish village has a
sauna. Open for everyone.
