Dear NO-BLAMErs,
I have now started up two book projects, both of which Palgrave Macmillan has
shown interest in publishing (I have talked to them and they liked both
ideas).
LEADERSHIP/MANAGEMENT AS PROFESSION?: One is an academic debate book on
whether leadership/management should be turned to a profession in its own
right (with longer higher education, certificate, ethical guidelines, ethical
committee and other things that would come with such a transformation). In
case anybody is interested in contributing to this book, I would need an
abstract of 100-150 words by 25th September at the latest. The abstract MUST
start with your standpoint (i.e. “yes”, “no”, or “to some extent” or the
like) and include the main arguments that you put forward. Full chapters
should be between 4,000 and 6,000 words (but it is negotiable). I will have
to come back to you regarding deadline for these. For those who previously
have sent me abstracts for this book – please send new abstracts, updated to
the new guidelines (see above).
BACHELOR PROGRAMS IN LEADERSHIP!: The other book is meant to be a book
containing arguments FOR giving bachelor programs in leadership (in contrast
to management), that is, bachelor degree where the students major in
leadership. I need abstract on 75-100 words by words by 25th September at the
latest. These abstracts must include the main arguments that you intend to
put forward. Full chapters must be 2,000 words (+/- 10%). I will have to come
back to you regarding deadline for these.
