A few minutes ago an unusual visitor to the Bird feeder showed up.  My wife
called me over to the window to see a hawk eating something.  Turns out a
Merlin caught a Cardinal and flew up to the perching tree and had a late
dinner.  Found the leg and beak at the base of the tree for species
identification.  There is a Brown Headed Nuthatch nest not far from the
perch on the main trunk and I was hoping it wasn't one of the nuthatches.
