Hi receivers-of-the-hotline ;
Just a quick note to let everyone know, because most of us will be out of town
this May 25th, we will not be an active participant in the Festival. To
clarify, we won't be staffing a booth. At the time of our meeting on Monday, we
had not known there would be a dearth of participants.
In addition - Chilton Woods is coming up Saturday. It is a hidden gem, in my
opinion, and a great place to practice your bird calls, because, yes, there is
a ton of foliage. BUT, PLEASE come prepared for bugs. This area is highly
populated with those May/Deer/whatever flies that annoy and bite, mosquitos,
and ticks.🕷 (at least it was last year) I recommend the "Tred-not" deerfly
patches for the back of your hat. They work, and you can usually find them at
local hardware stores.
