Which raises a question that I've been wondering about - is it a good
thing or bad thing to clean out bluebird box nesting material, annually or
ever? Online sources seem uncertain and mixed. I cleaned out one (I'm in
Santa Fe at the moment and it's way behind Virginia spring) and the birds
didn't seem to like it - as in, they investigated it but I haven't seen
them since.
