Zach Bradford presents “Your Virginia Natural Heritage Program” March 6
The Northern Neck Chapter of the National Audubon Society March 6 program will
be presented by Zach Bradford, the Chesapeake Bay Region Steward for the
Virginia Natural Heritage Program. Zach will give an overview of the Virginia
Natural Heritage Program and its associated Natural Area Preserve system. He
will focus on the four Natural Heritage sites on the Northern Neck: Hickory
Hollow, Dameron Marsh, Hughlett Point and Bushmill Stream. Each of these have
habitats of rare, threatened, and endangered species, significant natural
communities, geologic sites, and other natural features that make them unique.
Refreshments and brief general meeting begin at 3:15 in the large meeting room
at Lancaster Community Library. All Audubon programs are free and open to the
public.
