KCGC is the King Carter Golf Course, located south of Kilmarnock just off
Irvington Road. HQ is Hills Quarter, the community associated with the
golf course. NNAS is the Northern Neck Audubon Society.
Just a quick report. I have had a new computer for a week and it is not
fully functional, yet. Taking a lot of time........It was COLD out there
this morning!! The wind made it worse, of course. When I got home, I was
missing some parts. Since this is a family channel, I can not report
details.
Egg production has picked up as we expected. But we still do not have a
full count of eggs; there were 7 females sitting on the nest and left
undisturbed, so we do not have a count for them. And there were no new
nests this week. Something is amiss with the Tree Swallow. They laid one
egg, then abandoned it. Maybe they went looking for warmer weather.
Here are the numbers:
Last week: 26 eggs; This week: 73 eggs.
And with 7 females on uncounted eggs could add 20-30 more to the total.
