KCGC is the King Carter Golf Course, located south ofKilmarnock just off
Irvington Road. HQ is Hills Quarter, the community associated with the
golf course. NNAS is the Northern Neck Audubon Society.

Two boxes fledged this week, but look for a bunch next week. Most of the
BBs seem to be on the same calendar. As sometimes happens, a mystery on
the trail. At one location we had 5 chickadee eggs last week. This week
there is just one egg left in the nest. What kind of predator leaves an
egg? The box has the usual guards in place.

Here is a summary:
Eggs: 16 (in 4 boxes).
Young: 84.
Fledged: 9.
Other: 3 boxes of chickadees; 6 young, 5 young, plus the one egg mystery
box. And the Tree Swallow now has 6 eggs and will probably start sitting.
