I was at the parking lot in Leedstown when I saw the water bird. Is it a female
hooded merganser? The bird on the wire was in the same sector, but amidst the
plowed fields. It seems like a song sparrow at first glance, but here's what
throws me: the tail, the buffy color along the sides, the fact that it flew to
perch on a wire, and it doesn't seem the right shape. We've all seen lots of
song sparrows, but something about this bird was different. Thoughts? Thanks!!
