Driving down the road in the Palouse out in Washington, (the State for you
easterners). After coming down Steptoe Butte and heading to a small town
for lunch, I noticed a large cat in the tall grass near a grain silo. I
stopped to get a better look, and discovered a pair of Great Horned Owls
instead. We were just out showing Catherine's son the beauty of
Washington. Officially #48 on the list and the first time I had seen one,
outside of a zoo.
Photo was taken June 18, 2014.
