Subject: Middle Peninsula Bird Club Walk
The Middle Peninsula Bird Club will guide participants in a bird walk on
Thursday June 18 at 7:00 am at Woodville Park in Ordinary (3904 Woodville Park
Rd.). Turn at the Main entrance and meet in the parking lot to the left next to
the athletic fields. A port-a-potty is available for the coffee drinkers.
These species have been recently seen or heard at Woodville Park: Red-eyed
Vireo, White-eyed Vireo, Wood Thrush, Bald Eagle, Osprey, Ovenbird,
Yellow-billed Cuckoo, Eastern Wood Pewee, Red-shouldered Hawk, Summer Tanager.
Bring your binoculars and help us find and identify birds—it’s a team sport!
We will not restrict the group to 10, but if more than ten birders attend, we
will split the group into smaller ones going in different directions. Please
bring a mask. Be prepared for ticks, mosquitoes and deer flies.
Any cancellations due to weather will be posted on the Club’s Facebook page.
You do not have to be an expert to join the walks; we are an informal group
with no membership fees. We welcome all levels of birders. More information can
be found on the Club’s Facebook page.
