Was surprised to see four female Evening Grosbeaks at the feeder this morning as I was leaving for work. The included photo is pretty weak, but shows the white wing patches and overall proportions. Handsome birds and lifers for me. Five bald eagles were also seen on the drive in to town and eleven turkeys in the field just north of the Mercer Place apartments. Not bad for a rainy morning. I hope the bird walk this morning has as good luck.
