Report from two Great Backyard Bird Count bird walks:
February 15, King and Queen County property: 25 species, 136 individual birds
February 16, Mathews property: 34 species, 360 individual birds

birding for GBBC.
Tuesday March 3, 2020
The Middle Peninsula Bird Club will guide participants in a bird walk on
Tuesday March 3 at 8:00 am at Brent and Becky’s Bulbs, 7900 Daffodil Lane, Ware
Neck area. Bring your binoculars and enjoy watching and listening to the
variety of birds found on the property. Birders are hearing more birdsong with
Spring around the corner. Brent and Becky’s Bulbs is listed as a birding
“hotspot” on eBird (Cornell University’s website of citizen birding

Thursday March 19, 2020
The Middle Peninsula Bird Club will guide participants in a bird walk on
Thursday March 19 at Beaverdam Park; meet at the Main Entrance at 8:00 am to
view waterfowl, eagles, woodpeckers, forest birds, and others. There will be an
optional trip to the North Entrance off Fary's Mill Road (Rt. 606) to view more
species of waterfowl, grebes, and forest birds.
Any cancellations due to weather will be posted on the Club’s Facebook page.
You do not have to be an expert to join the walks; we are an informal group
with no membership fees. We welcome all levels of birders. More information can
