A service of the Northern Neck Audubon Society---
At yesterday's NN Audubon meeting (which featured an excellent presentation by
Zach Bradford of the Natural Heritage program) a lady in attendance reported
having an anhinga near her home in Mathews County for the last two years. This
sighting would be of interest to the Virginia Avian Records Committee (VARCOM)
so if anyone can put me in touch with her I would appreciate it.
I had ospreys (arriving migrants) in the creek this morning and a male northern
harrier (departing migrant) coursing low over the field at sunset. It's that
time of year.
