In terms of payment, participants can only pay for the whole conference but if

I. Next division meeting 9/17/2016 at 11:00 am
Our NJAMC division meeting will be held on Saturday 9/17/16 from 11am-1 pm
(Natasha Brodzinki's home). Please respond by 9/7/16. As you know, our budget
is very limited and your prompt response would allow us to save much needed
funds.
Agenda for this meeting will be finalizing plans for our November 2016 division
conference and continued work related to our multicultural training proposal
for all counselors. Your attendance will make it possible to evenly
distribute the work for the conference. (Address for our meeting: Natasha
Brodzinski - 72 Hamilton Drive; Hamilton, NJ 08619.)
II. Our conference CEs proposal for our Fall conference has been approved by
the NJCA Continued Education Committee(total CEs for the conference
is 11.75 hrs.) Thanks to John Muldoon for his advice.
III. Excellent article on how to empower youth against hate language so
prevalent in our society today.

Too often, stories about bigotry, terrorist attacks, and violence by and
against law enforcement tore at our sense of security and decency.
As much as we tried to protect them, young people heard these stories, too, and
had a variety of reactions, from fear to sadness to expressing bias of their
own.
Now’s the time to teach them valuable skills and lessons, and ADL can help. Our
education experts have developed easy-to-read strategies and lessons to help
teachers, families and caregivers raise these topics with children of all ages
and explore their feelings, confront bias and teach respect and empathy for all.
