Good Morning Everyone,
Please see the following attachments for information regarding “The 2nd
Annual Black Muslim Psychology Conference,” spearheaded by our very own CoM
member, Kameelah Mu’Min Rashad. This 2-day conference is expected to be
engaging, collaborative, and thought-provoking. Renowned speakers from
around the country will be discussing various issues as it relates to
Muslim mental health. People of all faiths and backgrounds are welcome to
attend this event.
Please help support Kameelah’s initiative and promote mental health by
attending the conference and/or forwarding the information to interested
parties (among other things). Thank you.
The aim of this conference is to highlight the unique concerns and
challenges Black Muslims face by bringing together 100 emerging and
prominent Black scholars, leaders, mental health professionals and
activists from across the country, as well as allies and supporters from
other communities. This two day conference is open to all. People of all
faiths (or none) and backgrounds are encouraged to attend and participate.
Workshop materials as well as breakfast and lunch will be provided.
