| Vice President-Elect Mike Pence supports electroshock therapy to “cure”
LGBT kids.

Roberto,
America’s next Vice President believes that forcing our children to undergo
electroshock therapy can change their sexual identity.
The practice of “conversion therapy” has been widely discredited, and is
considered by experts as psychologically dangerous.
Conversion therapy has been proven to lead to depression, anxiety, substance
abuse, and even suicide.
But homophobes like Mike Pence don’t care about protecting LGBT children. They
only care about advancing their backwards beliefs at any cost. Pence has even
gone so far as to re-route critical government funding from clinics providing
HIV support to organizations that promote this harmful practice.

Now, the LGBT community is standing proud and fighting back.
Just recently, the New York State legislature introduced a bill that would ban
this harmful conversion therapy practices for minors in their state. And in a
direct nod to the homophobic views of our next Vice President, the bill has
been titled the Prevention of Emotional Neglect and Childhood Endangerment bill
-- or P.E.N.C.E.
It’s legislative initiatives like this that will protect so many kids from
abuse. But until we pass a nationwide ban on this harmful practice, LGBT kids
will continue to be at risk.
These innocent children did nothing to deserve this abuse except be who they
are.
Their stories are our rallying cry. Please, take a stand to stop Mike Pence
and this abusive practice:
