Hi All;
A big thank you to all of the member agencies and organizations of the NH Rx
Fire Council who helped to successfully conduct a prescribed burn at the Joy
State Forest in Alton yesterday including those who helped with planning and
fireline prep, which are imperative to any successful burn. We had great team
organization lead by Steve Najjar from the New Boston Space Force Station who
was our burn boss. That combined with great weather lead to good fire
behavior, consumption of fuels, and meeting project goals which was to
rejuvenate a former commercial blueberry barrens to enhance food resources for
a variety of local wildlife.
Here is a link to a few pics and videos from yesterday:

Angers from DNCR to put together a short video for release on social media.
We'll share that when it's done.
We had help from:
* New Boston Space Force Station (NBSFS)
* Dept of Natural & Cultural Resources
o Forest Protection Bureau
o Forest Management Bureau
o Public Information Office
* NH Fish and Game
o Wildlife Habitat Program
o Nongame & Endangered Species Program
o Public Affairs Division
* NH Army National Guard
* USFWS - Umbagog National Wildlife Refuge
* The Forest Society
I hope I did not miss anyone. Please share this thank you with your staff if
they are not included here.
Thanks to all!
