Hi all,
Tony Bonanno asked me to post some news from the NFB conference in Orlando he
just attended.

1. The new iBill reader from the Bureau of Engraving and Printing will be
available from the Talking Books program. You can call to request one from them
now. The devices wil start shipping in September.

2. He has CDs from AISquared (GW Micro) for the WindowEyes installer for those
without Internet access.

3. AI also has a new product that turns your PC into a CCTV. It has the
camera/scanner and software. ZoomText 10+ users can get it for $200 off regular
price. ($699 for the one-pafge version, $899 for a two pagee version.

4. The Finger Reader from MIT should be available soon, if not now.

5. Kurzweil is releasing a new product called the KNFB reader for iPhone/iPad,
which will scan text, perform OCR, and read it aloud to you. It was
demonstrated using a PowerPoint presentation, which it read off the wall from
about 25 feet away. It looks to sell for around $100.
