This Saturday morning at 7 AM meeting at the May Road "Trailhead" near the
entrance to the road leading up Colville Mountain.
This is the first work party for building trail on Colville Mountain. Jake
Wilson has been working on getting this project going for 3+ years and we are
finally ready to dig. The projected trail is already flagged. There are
currently 1.7 miles of NEW trail flagged, with potential for much more in the
future.
I was thinking about doing a walk around the projected trail in the morning for
anyone that wants to get an idea of how the trail will turn out, if not we
could just start digging right away :) I will have maps of the trail this
Saturday as well.
If you can't come at 7 AM you can come whenever you feel like, I plan on being
out there into the afternoon. You are encouraged to bring your own tools,
anything that can move dirt (McCleods, Hoes) or heavy rakes would be most
useful, some saws and axes may come in handy as well. Bring water and food if
you want to stay for a while.
If you can't make it there will be plenty more opportunities to help in the
future, I may make this a weekly thing and add in some weekdays as well.
