TheDeutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is a
Germanimplementing organization which provides services worldwide in the field
ofinternational cooperation for sustainable development. GIZ has a record of
morethan 50 years of cooperation with the Association of the South East
Nations(ASEAN).
GIZin cooperation with the ASEAN Secretariat is currently implementing the
project“Climate Smart Land Use in ASEAN” (CSLU). The objective of this project
is tostrengthen ASEAN in its role as coordinator of efforts contributing
tointernational and national climate policy processes in the sphere
ofclimate-friendly and climate-resilient land use in the agriculture and
forestrysector.
Thereare interacting project outputs aimed to happen at various level of
governance:national, regional and international. The designed interventions are
aimed tohighlights the correlations between agriculture and forestry for
climatemitigation and adaptation in the region. Therefore,CSLU identifies the
support needs to facilitate series of activities inpromoting regional knowledge
exchange and connecting with existing nationalpolicy context. For this reason,
CSLU seeks a qualified Indonesian candidatefor the following position:
Internship on ClimateKnowledge Management
- Responsibilities
The internship is to assistthe project with preparing and carrying out series
of knowledge exchange eventsas a systematic approach to sharing tacit knowledge
for promoting climate smartland use policies and translating them into
practices.
- Tasks
The following tasks providea framework and can be adjusted during the
internship:
- Support the project with preparatory and administrativecoordination with
regional, national and sub-national stakeholders;
- Assist the development of concept on knowledge exchange event inand
between ASEAN Member States
- Document captured knowledge during the exchange event for thebasis of
formulating further knowledge products and information materials;
- Draw up reports and presentation document
- Monitor and report the ongoing virtual climate knowledge exchangeevents
- Align the knowledge event and products with pre-existing climatepolicy
context
- Required qualifications, competences and experience
Education
Undergraduateuniversity degree in a relevant discipline, ideally agriculture,
forestry,environmental science or related areas of development
Skill and knowledge
- Excellent command in both spoken and written English
- Good communication and writing skills
- Excellent command of MS – Office (Excel, PowerPoint,Word, Teams)
- Apply system thinking in approaching climate issuesand knowledge management
- Willingness to up skill as required by the tasks to beperformed
- Possess ability and affinity in working digitally
- Organizes multiple tasks and reporting relationships
- Sensitivity in dealing with political andadministrative stakeholders,
combined with the ability to assess variousstakeholders
