Islamic Relief Worldwide is an independent humanitarian and development
organisation with a presence in over 40 countries around the globe. Islamic
Relief Worldwide is a UK based International relief. We have been fighting
poverty and injustice for 30 years, in a world in which over three billion
people still live in poverty.
Country Purpose:
Islamic Relief Worldwide in Indonesia was operation since 2003 following the
MOU signing with the Ministry of Home Affairs. The objective of IRW in
Indonesia programme is to contribute to the social welfare of the Indonesia
people and to alleviate the suffering. The main sector for the programme
include:
* Water and Sanitation
* Sustainable livelihood
* Education
* Child Welfare
* Shelter
* Disaster Risk Reduction
The geographical area are Banten, NTB, Aceh and Central Sulawesi province
directly implementing or through partners.
Islamic Relief Worldwide in Indonesia is looking to recruit 3 (three)
Community Officer/ Mobilizers - ALO, based in Lombok, NTB .
Reporting Line:
Post holder direct reports to : Area Coordinator
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Identification and selection of project participants
* Organizing and facilitating group meeting
* Assisting project participants in purchasing productive asset
* Providing training to the project participants on skills
development for IGA
* Provide regular hands on support to families about IGA
* Raise social and health awareness, training to the activists and
reporting to the PO and PC
* Maintain Child Club and ensure child protection awareness
activities in community level
* Establish Apex body by the help of program officer
* Monitor and facilitate SHG and link with local government line
department
* Make case study for progress documentation
* Work as a key change maker of the community
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
* Bachelor degree or equivalent in the relevant field like; Social science
advanced degree preferred
* Knowledge of education, child protection & livelihood Program
* Demonstrated ability to make strategic decisions in complex situations
* Broad alliance-building experience, including working in collaboration
with multiple organizations
* No child abuse history

commitment to Islamic Relief overall aims and objectives, including gender,
