The SIAP SIAGA program (Kemitraan Indonesia Australia untuk Kesiapsiagaan
Bencana) was launched in November 2019 and is a five-year program funded by the
Australian Government, working with the Government of Indonesia to strengthen
disaster management in Indonesia and engagement between Australia and Indonesia
on disaster management in the wider region. Since the confirmation of cases of
COVID-19 in Indonesia and the subsequent nomination of the National Disaster
Management Agency (BNPB) to lead a National COVID-19 Task Force in March 2020,

this support has included working with the Provincial Task Force in Bali since
early April 2020. Several roles covering the emergency response period until
mid-June have been developed and SIAP SIAGA is seeking suitably qualified and

supporting the Government's plan for effective response to COVID-19.
