IFES is an international, nonprofit organization that supports the building
of democratic societies. *IFES promotes democratic stability by providing
technical assistance and applying field-based research to the electoral
cycle in countries around the world to enhance citizen participation and
strengthen civil societies, governance and transparency.* Founded in 1987
as a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization, IFES has developed and
implemented comprehensive, collaborative democracy solutions in more than
120 countries. Currently we are seeking *Program Coordinator *(IFES Grade:
*Assistant*) to help project implementation in IFES Indonesia.
*Scope of Work:*
- Assist program team with the planning, administration and logistics
for special events undertaken by IFES in the area of election management
trainings, workshops of other events including the Election Visit Program;
- Assist Program team in collecting reports and financial supporting
documents, ensuring that comprehensive data on all sub-awards is properly
organized and available for reference;
- Assist on producing documents, briefing papers, reports and
presentations;
- Assisting program team on maintaining program files, and preparing
correspondence, documentation, and other related information in support of
program activities;
- Conduct desk studies and research on topics relating to IFES’
programming;
- Produce regular updates on electoral issues based on media reports;
- Compile and produce regular updates on IFES’ activities based on
reports submitted from program team members;
- Assist in maintaining and recording of achievements and performance
indicators of IFES’ programs;
- Assist in note taking and translation for IFES’ activities when
necessary;
- Support program team when necessary, in the organization of
programmatic meetings and discussion with Indonesia’s election stakeholders;
- Undertake other tasks as may be assigned.
*Requirements:*
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience performing administration and
finance functions for program team in a comparable setting;
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills;
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow organization’s
regulations and supervisor instruction;
- Possess general knowledge about election in Indonesia;
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia, both written and oral;
- A high level of self-motivation and ability to work autonomously
within a fast-paced environment;
- Previous experience in working on formal procedures is an
advantage;
