Hiring Consultant for SUN UNOPs
DatabaseDevelopment
Background
The new 2018-2024 National Strategy to Accelerate StuntingPrevention (StraNas
Stunting) has been formulated with the objective to reducethese high stunting
rates across Indonesia through better coordination andaligning incentives
across national, sub-national, and non-state actors. Led byIndonesia’s
President Joko Widodo and Vice President Jusuf Kalla, the strategyaims to
ensure all key related stakeholders works together with a Holistic,Integrative,
Thematic, and Spatial (HITS) approach to achieve the same goal andobjectives in
stunting prevention and reduction. BAPPENAS as Scaling UpNutrition (SUN) focal
point organizes six networks i.e. Governments (ministries and other
relatedstate institutions); Donor and UN System Country Network for
Nutrition(DUNCNN); Business Network, Civil Society Alliance, Academia and
ProfessionalOrganization, and Media.
In 2018 Nutrition International (NI) Indonesia has been appointedas Indonesia
SUN CSA coordinator and in 2019 NI received SUN UNOPs Pooled GrantFund to
promote sustainable improvement in nutritional status of the people ofIndonesia
by creating a strong, coordinated and vibrant civil societyconstituency. In
order to have stronggovernance and working systems of SUN CSA with inclusive
and diversifiedmembership covering nutrition and multiple sectors there is a
need to developSUN CSA database.
Objective
The objective is this assignment is to develop, update andmaintain SUN CSA
membership database, including documentations lesson learnedfrom SUN CSA
successful model.
Scope of Work
The scope of this assignment areas follows:
1. Provide a conceptual datamodel that reflects the structure of the
information to be held in the SUN CSAdatabase.
2. Translate the conceptual datamodel into database
3. Developing database to record SUN CSAmembership data at National,
Central Java and East Java Province for at leastthe following items
· ID Auto Number
· Full Name
· Job Title
· Company
· Addresses
· E-mails
· Telephone Numbers
· Intervention/Working/Geographical area
· Type of Intervention (Specific or Sensitive)
· Additional information on intervention
4. Pre-test the database for data analysisand produce reports for their
immediate use.
5. Roll out of the database
6. Introduce and train NI staff on databaseuse and maintenance activities.
7. Regularly maintain and update the SUN CSAdatabase
8. Develop Excel/Access or other databasestandard report generation
9. Compileand document lesson learned from successful model of SUN CSA and
integrate itin database
Deliverables
The consultant(s)are expected to produce the following deliverables.
1. Presentation of conceptualmodel Design
2. Physical database design
3. Report on pre-test run ofdatabase
4. Report on SUN CSA Database

The qualification of consultant
The consultant(s) will be selected following a competitiverecruitment process.
The consultant should have the following expertise:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience indatabase design and roll out for
health development projects
2. Proven experience to lead in thestructural design of a database
according to various system requirements.
3. Education in Computer Science especiallySQL server database
development and Microsoftcertification in database Administration/Development
(Desirable)
4. Analytical and Documentation skills,presentation of reports
5. Excellent command of English
