HI has been present in NTT since2010 and has since contributed to the
disability movement through variousprojects designed to enhance participation
of people with disabilities invarious topics of the development process
including inclusive disaster riskmanagement, inclusive education, and inclusive
planning and budgetingprocess.
Since 2018 HI has been implementinga project focuses on social economic
inclusion as a full participation in thesociety and aim to seek increased
participation and equal opportunities fortraditionally excluded groups – such
as women, vulnerable youth, people livingin poverty and people with
disabilities named “Building inclusive andsustainable economic growth through
Civil Society Organizations (CSOs)participation” (BISEG Project) in 6 districts
in NTT with a local CSO,Perkumpulan Relawan CIS Timor (CIS Timor), and funded
by the EuropeanUnion.
In order to obtain the project goal,HI is currently looking for a project
officer replacement for its offices inSumba Barat Daya. S/he will work alone in
each district under the long-distancesupervision of the project manager who is
based in Kupang. The project officerwill be responsible for the project
implementation in her/his working area inclose collaboration with CIS Timor
project officer/facilitator. The detail isas follows:
Position Title : Project Officer
Location : Sumba Barat Daya
Closing date : rolling (this position will be filled as soon as thesuitable
candidate is identified)
Basic Salary Range :Rp 6.3 – 6.6 million IDR depending onobjective weighting of
candidate’s profile
The successful candidate is expectedto start within March 2021.
TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the line management of theProject Manager who is based in Kupang, the
project officer will be responsiblefor the project implementation in Sumba
Barat Daya. The successful applicantmust be willing to travel within his/her
working area by any transportationmeans. The tasks in particular are:
1. Support the Project Manager in the project implementation
2. Provide technical assistance to local authorities (LAs), civil
societyorganizations (CSOs), the project implementing partner
3. Perform monitoring & evaluation of the project
4. Sensitize & mobilize all stakeholders on inclusive livelihood &
economicparticipation
5. Manage the activities & budget under his/her domain
6. Contribute to the development of project tools, assess them andrecommend
improvements
7. Manage administrative & logistic needs of his/her domain includingcash box
management

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor degree in social sciences, economics, and other relevant field;or in
any discipline with at least 3 years of experience in livelihood projects
• Minimum 2 years practical experience in the field of disability,
excludedgroup and support to civil society
• Minimum 2 years experience in an international organization
• Experience in local planning-budgeting processes
• Experience working with DPO and persons with disabilities; and/orworking in
women and youth group issues.
• Experience of working with multi-cultural and/or pluri-disciplinaryteams and
being managed by distance
• Good knowledge of the livelihood / economic development stakeholders
inhis/her assigned area

Contract duration will be until the end of project (31 October 2021).
