*Position : Project Manager CASE*
*Background*
Institute for Essential Services Reform (IESR), a think tank in energy and
environment, is working on an initiative to transform Indonesia energy
sector to be more sustainable and low carbon.
IESR together with international and national partner will be implementing
Clean, Affordable, and Sustainable Energy for Southeast Asia (CASE) project
from 2020 to 2024. CASE project aims to create evidence and tools that
support the energy transition in the region as well as to communicate these
outputs to relevant stakeholders and general public to establish a public
discourse about energy transition challenges and benefits.
*About the Position*
The project manager will manage the CASE project activities based on the
workplan.
The project manager shall be able to draw implementation strategy, monitor
progress of project, develop strategy for policy advocacy and campaign,
identify research priorities, manage deliverable and reporting, and
coordinating with all implementing partners in Indonesia and in the region.
*Key roles and responsibilities*
§ Project strategy: fine-tuning program and project strategies and adapt
with situation/trend and create policy advocacy spaces, identify research
needed, and commission knowledge products.
§ Project management: undertake planning and implementation of activities
within time frame and budget, set datelines, assign responsibilities,
manage reporting and evaluation, and manage external consultant’s work,
and budget management.
§ Communication: develop and direct communication strategy and messaging,
direct knowledge management, and communicate with relevant stakeholders and
project’s partners.
§ Networking: build and maintain network with key stakeholders and
partners.
*Qualification*
§ An Indonesia native, educated to master degree level (in the field of
economics, sciences, engineering) with minimum 5 years’ work experience in
reputable organisation.
§ Experience of working on the energy and climate change fields.
§ Demonstrable experience in engagement with stakeholders, particularly
government and CSO.
§ Demonstrable experience in project development and management.
§ Experience of communicating and networking with external stakeholders.
§ Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrable ability to work as part
of a team, including with external partners.
§ Excellent integrity and excellent work ethic.
§ Good analytical skill.
§ Professional English fluency, both in writing and speaking, is required.
§ Excellent with MS Office/MS Office-like system.
*Duration*
Three years contract and can be extended, with 3 months’ probation.
Available to work started in September 2020
*Salary*
Salary and benefits are competitive and will be commensurate with
candidate’s qualification and experiences.
